Injured After Multi-vehicle Crash on I-376 Westbound in Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh, PA – A multi-vehicle crash occurred on Sunday, April 14, 2025, on I-376 westbound in Pittsburgh, PA, killing at least two and injuring 2. The accident closed the road and caused significant traffic delays.
Crash details
The crash happened around 7:30 pm between Exit 71A (Grant St) and Exit 71B (2nd Ave). According to PA State Police, a Chevrolet Silverado travelled eastbound in the westbound lanes and collided head-on with a Nissan Frontier.
The driver of the Nissan Frontier died at the scene, and a passenger was taken to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead. The Allegheny County Medical Examiner has identified one of the victims as 77-year-old Sharon Orlofske.
The two people in the Silverado were injured and taken to the hospital. Their conditions are not yet known.

Allegheny County paramedics, police and firefighters responded to the scene. All westbound lanes of I-376 were closed for several hours for rescue, investigation and cleanup. The lanes reopened around 11:45 pm Sunday.
